$50 Per Week Grocery Challenge: Week #9

How Much Did I Spend For Week #9?

I am late getting this out due to the Memorial Weekend.  We were out of town and I did have access to a computer, but I didn't feel like posting anything.  I went to 3 stores for week #9 and spent a total of $50.57. This included meat, dairy, produce and a 25 pound bag of sugar.  Plus I splurged and purchased a 5 qt. pail of ice cream.  I only purchased 1 gallon of milk this week since we had quite a bit left over from last week and 2 of my children were visiting my parents and we would be going to my husband's parents for the weekend.

Here is the breakdown for Week #9

Meat:  7 lbs Chicken Thighs and Legs for $6.48, Hamburger at $2.38/lb

Fruit and Vegetables:  4 lbs Vidalia Onions $3.00, Bananas at $.59/lb, Celery $1.38, Carrots $1.68

Dairy:  5 qt. Ice Cream $3.98, 1 Gallon Milk $3.46, 1 lb Cheese for $2.88
